Volunteer

We have thousands of volunteers who are making a difference everyday. Comhaltas in Britain has a larger volunteering network who shape the work we do. Sparing your time and efforts to support local activities make a world of difference in your community.

Teaching Volunteer

Teaching at your branch is a great way to improve your skills and pass on the gift of music to the new generation of musicians. Irish culture is about sharing music through listening and replicating. You don't have to be proficient to be able support new learners. As long as you have a passion for passing on the culture, your branch needs you.

Fundraising & Events Volunteer

Comhaltas in Britain is a grassroots and volunteer-led organisation. Our local volunteers who fundraise and run events in their community are bringing Irish heritage to people's everyday life. If you're interested in running a workshop, performance, competition or fundraising event in your area then contact us or find your local branch

Volunteer at Fleadhanna

Regional and All-Britain Fleadhanna are run by our volunteers. With over 1,000 competitors attending the All-Britain Fleadh each year, this is a massive undertaking. Volunteering your time to support our competition means we can keep the costs as affordable for our competitors. There are roles to suit everybody like: clerk, runners, fleadh office, ticket sales and so much more.

Committee member

Our committee members support the day to day activities of the organisation. There are many roles on branch, regional and provincial level committees. Branch AGMs are conducted throughout September and October. Followed by Regional AGMs in November and Provincial AGM in March. You can nominate yourself to any roles on any level. Roles available: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasure, Public Relations, Secretary, Auditors, Gaeilge Officer, Delegates and Youth officers.
