Ceol Le Chéile
This youth initiative led by our youth officer Calum McGregor to promote the promising young musicians in Britain to expand their musical knowledge and experience.

About Us
Ceol Le Chéile means 'Music Together', and our aim is to showcase all of the young talent from across Britain. The orchestra is aimed at any musicians between the ages of 18 to 26 years old. All instruments are welcome!
Our mission is to further cross-region collaboration and communication. Whilst giving young people the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge as a professional musician.
The orchestra will be performing a selection of trad pieces and exploring musicianship and arranging techniques to create a neo-trad suite of music for various performance opportunities.
Our Musical Director
We are proud to announce our new musical director Hugh Sheehan.
Hugh is a musician, composer, sound designer, and audio producer from Birmingham and he produces work for concert hall, theatre, radio, and has recently recorded a podcast series with the BBC. He’s a multi-instrumentalist, an avid composer, and has had an incredibly successful career as an artist

Support Us
We need your support to make this group possible. Through your donations, we are looking to raise funds for the following items: venue hire, musical director salary, printing and transport.
Our ethos is to support any individual from any economic background and cost is a big barrier to talented musicians being able to take opportunities like this. We are wanting to provide scholarships to musicians who are struggling to finance attending this group. Through your support, you can give a young person a chance to make a start in their music career. So please donate today and pass on the love of Irish music to the next generation.
Want to join us?
You can now apply to join our group by clicking the link below. Auditions will take place shortly after the deadline 17th of March at 5pm closes via a video submission, with participants being contacted via email with specific instructions. Zoom rehearsals will shortly follow the announcement of the lineup, and in-person rehearsals are expected to happen on the weekend of the 20th-22nd of June in Dublin and again at the All-Britain Fleadh.
This year, we’re piloting the project with 20 musicians, however we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to increase this number in 2026. If you weren't successful this year, we encourage you to try again next year and we have plenty of educational opportunity to continue expanding.
